A half hour session suitable for basic puppy and young dog training. These lessons are tailored to your needs and can cover a number of basic obedience skills and pet dog manners.

This private session is not a behavioral session or consult.

LEVEL Two (Attend any class within your level using your class pass)

Give your dog a workout while training tricks and playing games for active dogs.

Prereq: Must have earned a level one certificate.

Sports and Enrichment Track: Level One
This class will help you improve your shaping and marker training techniques while training the foundations for clever dog tricks as well as athletic dog stunts and tricks. Anyone in level one can attend as well as new students.

Evaluations are twenty-minute, semi-private sessions that you attend with your dog. All new training clients should begin with an evaluation unless you have already attended an orientation and were directed to begin classes right away.

Your $25.00 evaluation package includes:

An intake questionnaire emailed before your first session
An email from your instructor regarding the entrance and exit process for your dog only if there is a need for specific protocols due to behavioral concerns or aggression.
A custom proposal for training programs if it is determined that both parties feel as though it is a good fit.

There may be other dogs on site during your an evaluation, but if this is the case, they will be in a separate area.

Evaulations do not guarantee a spot into a behavior training program

Virtual Puppy Class for Puppies that are too Young

You don't have to wait for your puppy to be fully vaccinated or even born before you begin educating yourself on how to properly train and socialize your new family member.

Get ready to set your new puppy up for a lifetime of success. You can begin training your puppy from day one in order to prevent the most common household problems.

We created this class for puppy owners to safely train their new puppy. Once enrolled, you will receive the link for a virtual classroom (zoom). Each session includes a 30 to 40-minute Group zoom classroom (participant and host camera enabled), a homework exercise for both new and soon-to-be puppy owners as well as some additional content. This class will prepare you for success and for your in-person training at MJ's.

Passes may be used for all regular classes. Any leftover passes when your puppy is ready to switch to in-person learning can be used for Puppy kindergarten and Puppy Skills. Expiration dates still apply.

Scheduled in 6 week intervals

This series is for Puppies between the ages of 12 and 19 weeks. Proper play, social skills, handling, and life skills are emphasized. This is an important class for young puppies and combines expertise, experience, and techniques backed by research on handling young puppies.

Puppies will work through drills and skills off-leash.

This class will sometimes be held at the same time as other classes running for added distraction and social opportunities.

Pre-Req: recommended that owners begin with virtual Puppy Pre-School through MJ's before joining this in-person class, but this is not required.


Scheduled in 6-week intervals

Train and play with your puppy in this skills class just for puppies up to 8 months.

You and your puppy will work on basic obedience skills and manners together. When your puppy ages out, you will be moved up to level one. You can use your class passes for any regular class within your level.

Prereq: Attend evaluation or approval from instructor

Requirements: Your puppy should be home for at least 14 days before attending class. Provide your puppies vaccine documents and negative fecal with approval from trainer before your first group class.

LEVEL ONE (Undergraduate)

Attend any class within your level using your class pass

Work through basic obedience skills such as coming when called, walking politely, leave-it, stays and more through dog training activities combined with motivational coaching from your instructors. Play games with your dog to conquer the level one skills.

Prereq: Attend evaluation or permission from instructor.

Requirements: Your dog's current vaccines records must be provided. Your dog should be friendly around other dogs and people. Dogs that find the group class environment challenging, may be better suited for one of our other services. Your instructor will let you know if this is the case.

This class is for graduates of MJ's Puppy Skills classes as well as level 1 dogs that are close to earning their level one certificates, but not quite ready for level two. Level one students should only join this class if instructors have approved. At the graduate version of level one, there is a greater focus on more advanced handler techniques for working through the level one skills.

LEVEL TWO (Attend any class within your level using your class pass)

More challenges, distractions and obedience skills await in level two.

Prereq: Earn a level one certificate before moving up.

Practice your searches and play games. Mixed level practice class.

The advanced class is for dogs who have graduated from Obedience Level 2.

Welcome to the ultimate trick dog class! All levels are welcome to sign up. The group number indicates which theme schedule the relating time slot follows. Ongoing enrollment means you can begin anytime.

Handlers will learn how to shape, rethink training, and train in new and creative ways to create complex tricks and routines with their dogs.

Themes change on a rotating schedule. Please read the description for themes. While this class allows for flexible pass use, we highly recommend attending class on week to week basis to complete the themes.

No experience required but dogs must be comfortable around other dogs and people. This is not a setting for reactive behavior.

This 90-minute session will help you work through behavioral concerns with your dog. Your trainer will help you make a plan to solve behavioral problems and provide both coaching on techniques and advice for implementing them at home. After your first consultation, a package may be offered based on your needs.

Distance coaching is available on a number of topics including obedience, scent, pet dog skills, professional consultations, trick dog, enrichment, and more.

Your trainer will work with you on problem areas and goal setting. Every case is unique and having a custom plan can help you and your dog overcome some of the most common problems.

How do you increase your dog's ability to pay attention? How do you get your dog to listen even around distractions? How do you get better responses from your dog?

Prepare your dog for the show ring and fine-tune your own handling skills in this drop-in session led by the professional handler and breeder Autumn Dugan.

This is not your typical obedience class. Work through a number of obedience drills in a fast paced structure. We recommend combining this class with our regular skills classes for the most effective group class program. Obedience Drill class is mixed levels, but your dog should know the basics. You may work your dog off leash or with equipment depending on your level. Drills are challenging and will bring your training to the next level.

This class is held with distractions.
Often includes music.
Earn points for prizes (league points)

Treadmill access is open to those who have had at least one lesson with an instructor or has equivalent experience. The treadmill should be used for show dog exercise or pet dog enrichment only. This is not to be used for recovery programs. This session is instructor-free and held during other services. Please prepare for distractions.

Pre-Req: Level One MJ's Skills Required or permission from instructor

This course covers all ten of the Canine Good Citizen test items to help you and your dog prepare for an evaluation which will be held on the final week. If you have been considering working towards a CGC with your dog, this MJ's course will help you reach that goal. Learn about CGC rules and train through all of the test items.

This course includes 6 class sessions, one practice test day, and one test day.

Food is a helpful tool when used correctly in training programs. This workshop focuses on how to fade food for performance which does not allow it in the ring (CGC, Rally, Obedience) or for being able to communicate with your dog without a handful of treats. It is all too easy for handlers to get stuck on the use of treats. Learn how to build a relationship with your dog and how to interact with your dog in other ways.

The large dog grooming appointment is for dogs up to approximately 80 lbs. (please call for XL dogs). Your grooming team will gladly go over package and style options with you at the time of your dog's appointment.

This appointment is for dogs between the ages of 7 months to 10 years. We have special time slots for puppies and senior dogs. Please contact us for additional time slots.
