Community Dog Skills

Course Description: Everyday Manners with AKC Canine Good Citizen

This course combines everyday manners with AKC Canine Good Citizen and Community Canine skills, practiced in real-life settings. The first class will meet at MJ's Pet Training Academy, with subsequent sessions held at various public locations. This hands-on course is led by experienced trainer Rick Maloney.

Please check class dates carefully, as make-up classes are not available for this course.

Important Requirements:

• Dogs should be comfortable around other people and dogs. This is not a class for reactive or aggressive dogs.
• Dogs must be safe on leash in public settings. If your dog is a flight risk or you have concerns about bringing your dog out in public, please contact MJ's Pet Training Academy for alternative training options.
• A valid rabies certificate must be emailed or brought to MJ's Pet Training Academy at least two days before the first class.
• All enrollment documents must be completed before the course begins. Additional documentation will be emailed to you for completion.
• Handlers are responsible for cleaning up after their own dogs during outings.
